Two obverse dies are known but it is unclear if they were used on this pattern.
Examples are known as follows:
Nickel J461/P535 which is relatively common with possibly 2 dozen known.
Copper J462/P536 with about a dozen known. For available images of this and the next, click here.
Copper-nickel (88-12 or 90-10 copper to nickel) J463/P537 with only 2 or 3 known, if in fact any actually exist. PCGS has graded one example PCGSAU58 which looks like a regular nickel example of J461/P535.
Note: The Superior's 6/77 Crouch sale had 4 of these lots 183-6 but the sale had no examples of J461/P535. We believe that most if not all of these were in fact J461/P535.
Obviously, any specimen believed to be copper-nickel should be analyzed.
