This year is known only for the half eagle J36/P6110 that was produced outside the mint, in the 1860s, from dies sold as scrap metal and believed to have been purchased by either Joseph J. Mickley and/or Montroville Dickeson.

Uniface examples of this obverse P6135 are also known as are additional private concoctions made by Montroville Dickeson which on one side used discarded quarter and half eagle dies.
