Although described as regular dies trial pieces, this was more likely deliberately struck for sale to collectors as part of complete copper sets.
T. Harrison Garrett had one and a double set is described by Pollock as being in the Iowa State Historical Department.
About a half dozen are known.
A single example is known struck in nickel J600/P666 with only the Farouk coin confirmed.
