Although described as regular dies trial pieces, these were more likely deliberately struck for sale to collectors as part of complete off-metal sets. Only 3 or 4 are known in copper with the illustrated example being the finest seen. These were also struck in aluminum J1419/P1562 with only 2 or 3 known.
