This year is known only for the copper and/or brass die trial of the half eagle J27/P6045.
This is actually believed to have been struck in the 1860s from dies sold by the mint as scrap metal that were purchased either by Joseph J. Mickley or Montroville Dickeson.
No example has been appeared in the market place since 1954.
