1805

This year is known only for the half eagle J36/P6110 that was produced outside the mint, in the 1860s, from dies sold as scrap metal and believed to have been purchased by either Joseph J. Mickley and/or Montroville Dickeson.

Uniface examples of this obverse JA1805-1/P6135 are also known as are additional private concoctions made by Montroville Dickeson which on one side used discarded quarter and half eagle dies.
