This year is marked by the first twenty cent patterns. 2 designs were made using an obverse by J.A. Bailey which was previously used on a trade dollar pattern the prior year. J1354/P1498 J1358/P1503 The other major pattern of this year is the famous design for an international eagle proposed by Dana Bickford.
