This year is known for the magnificent eagle and double eagle designs by Augustus St. Gaudens.
The first is the so-called wire edge with periods design which is often collected as a regular issue. J1901/P1995. This used to be J1774 in earlier editions.
This is the unique indian head double eagle. J1905/P1998. This used to be J1776 in earlier editions. It is considered to be one of the most valuable of all pattern coins.
This is the famous ultra high relief. J1909/P2000. This used to be J1778 in earlier editions. Although it is one of the most common gold patterns, it is, because of its beauty and popularity of the design, one of the most valuable.
