This year is known for 2 Kennedy half dollar pieces. The first shows just Kennedy's image on both sides JA1964-1/P2080 According to noted numismatist John J. Ford, it was supposedly found in an ashtray in a bar at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC. The second is a reverse hub trial, in copper which has the "D" mintmark for Denver in 2 different locations, one of which is the correct one.
