This is hub trial displaying a reverse legend layout piece as it only contains "United States of America" and the denomination.

Pollock correctly lists this under 1860 to go with J271-J272/P319-P320 as the "V" in "Five" is actually an upside down "A" as on this pattern. Another interesting feature is that the word "Dollars" is misspelled as "Dollers".

It is unique and is ex R. Coulton Davis (NY Coin & Stamp 1/1890, lot 1134), Boyd, Kosoff-Bowers and Merena 11/85, Stacks 1/89, Dr. A. Roter, Mike Byers, Heritage 8/10 ANA, SImpson-Heritage 4/21 - PCGS64BN.

Obviously, it is the plate coin for all editions of Judd and also Pollock.
