The following is drawing #38 by Christian Gobrecht and was taken from "From the Drawingboard of a Coin Engraver" by Elvira Clain-Stefanelli and published in the ANA Centennial Anthology.
It shows the standing eagle used on 1838 half dollar patterns J72/P75 and J76B-J76C/P89A-P89B.
The die was later used in the 1870s on restrikes of
J76-J78/P82-P85, J99/P109, and J101/P112.
